Japanese firm buys Sonicblue units. Home entertainment company D&M Holdings says it won a bankruptcy court auction for the ReplayTV digital video recorder and Rio MP3 business units. The winning bid: $36.2 million. [CNET News.com]

Yesterday, I plugged an Oxygen8 into my Titanium, and started playing with Reason. I'm new to both, but out of the box it was so much better than expected. I seem to remember taking a week or so to set up a new studio rig. Reason easily replaces the rack of crap I sold on eBay last month. Oxygen8 more than replaces the QS7 I sold as well. I expect my upgrade to Logic Audio tomorrow to make my guitars feel welcome. My plan will soon be complete...a portable, high-end digital audio/MIDI recording system.
